Not far from Nová Baňa, in the quiet landscape between the Vtáčnik and Pohronský Inovec mountain ranges, stands Šimuntov dvor — a place where centuries of farmwork meet the calm of today.
Stone that remembers.
The walls of Šimuntov dvor remember generations of householders and craftsmen. That is why, during the renovation, we let them speak their own language — the language of time, which cannot be imitated, only respected. The brick vaults you see today faithfully echo the original ones. Every arch and every joint bears the trace of the historic template, creating a space where time moves a little differently.
Renovation with respect.
During the renovation, we made a commitment: to preserve the soul of the original building while providing the comfort today's guest expects. Original stone and wood were combined with modern technical solutions so that they remained hidden in the background. Many skilled craftsmen participated in the restoration, and the construction processes were conducted using traditional methods. Therefore, each day was a bit slower, but all the more honest.
Details that tell a story.
Every part you look at was created piece by piece, from materials available in the immediate vicinity. The walls deliberately bear the traces of the hands that assembled them — our hands — and therefore look as if they have stood here forever. Likewise, small details throughout the estate: hand-carved wood, imperfect joints, soft shadows — everything that makes Šimuntov dvor a unique place.
